Héctor Gómez received his bachelor degree in electronic engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), in 2009, and his MSc. degree in electronics engineering from the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica, in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he worked in the UNISANGIL as a professor and researcher. As part of his duties, he participated in the Iberoamerican analog IC design contest Silterra-Istec, awarding the third place. Also, he was the co-chair of the International Engineering Seminar in 2013. He started his Ph.D. Degree in 2014 and in 2015 he joined the Integrated Systems Research Group- Onchip at UIS, to continue his research on system-on-a-chip information security.

Research interests:

Information security for system-on-a-chip, high-speed interfaces, the design of digital and mixed signal circuits, and signal processing.
